“In a late day emergency plumbing situation, Ed came out and did a top-notch job, going above and beyond. Even when it looked like he might not be able to fix the water leak in my condo, after the property manager informed him that the only water cut off was for the whole complex, there were none for the individual units. Ed took it upon himself to search around the crawl space under the building until he located the individual cut offs he knew there had to be. He was not only courteous, and professional, but was genuinely sympathetic to my plight and did everything he could to remedy the situation. “OK – so less than a year ago I came across American Mechanical while painstakingly “eliminating” other would be candidates/contractors to resolve a plumbing dilemma I had at my residence. Being 59 years of age and somewhat schooled in “Old School” habits and appreciation of quality workmanship, integrity, honesty and at a fair price, it turns out that when it comes to hiring American Mechanical – “Déjà vu” is more than an illusion – it is in fact, a reality! As for my recent experience (s) and prompted by a home inspection report for another property, I simply hit the speed dial on my phone! Yes…speed dial – use them once and you will too have them in your priority directory for some corrective actions in areas pertaining to Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC. After a brief call and a delightful experience I might add in scheduling the work, their technicians Luke, Robert and Preston arrived onsite and as in the aforementioned accolades, performed all necessary repairs and in addition, addressed other small, but nonetheless important concerns – ALL without escalating ones heart rhythm or depleting ones bank account – try that with another company! In short, I practically begged them never to leave the company and I am considering contacting the owner of American Mechanical for his assurance to continue to keep his entire staff “Happy and LONG-Term campers (if you are a homeowner and exhausted your episodes of “This Old House” you’ll understand). In addition, I have no idea nor should I about the hiring methodology of this company, but the best as I can tell there is a big KUDO’s to the hiring authorities for securing such a talented crew in all aspects of their brand. In conclusion – A Big Thank You to Luke, Robert and Preston- and by all means to the audience of Facebook… stay tuned for what I deem to be another rave review for their electrical technician for whom I’ve yet to meet but is scheduled for next week. “I have dealt with all aspects of American Mechanical and not one has disappointed my husband and me. James C. with the HVAC department was just the last to come and he was also a really reliable and trustworthy person. The representatives from American Mechanical are so knowledgeable and easy to work with. They have installed a Generac whole house generator of which I could not be more impressed with the matter of installation. So many installers, all working together with their own specialty. I dealt with each one and felt so relaxed that it was done correctly, and the follow up with our so many questions was answered so that we could understand and feel confident in our part of the maintenance to protect our investment. The company also helped me remodel of our bathroom with the Plumbing Department. We plan on purchasing the yearly maintenance for all aspects of our home because we totally trust American Mechanical’s employees and the company’s way of doing business. We are informed of who is coming to our house, including the employee’s picture and references of their experiences. They come when they say they’ll be here and call before they come. “Night and day difference between a truly professional company and your average HVAC installer. Our system never seemed quite right, but it worked until the blower motor died last Saturday. Checked the web and saw all the positive reviews for American Mechanical. Called their emergency hotline and got a prompt return call from James C.. He was willing to come out late that night, but Sunday was fine. He responded out, diagnosed the problem, and discussed solutions and options. The next day he advised the motor would be covered under warranty, a substantial savings. Today, James H. came out to do the repair. We talked about the humidity issues I’ve been having and the history of the unit. He installed the parts, cleaned the system, and did a thorough evaluation of all the settings. He found and corrected a few problems left over from a poor installation by the “average” HVAC company. He also took the time to explain what he was doing and why. I got an education! Now I am sitting in a comfortable cool room with 55% humidity. A 20 point drop! I highly recommend them and signed up for their ongoing maintenance program. Five stars for the office staff!
