We appreciated that Jason gave us advance notice for his timely arrival. Throughout his time here, he was friendly and courteous, working tirelessly in a tiny bathroom. In tackling the installation of the ceiling fan, he needed to cut out a portion of the ceiling to make room for a larger size fan than what was there previously. This meant that he was dealing with very old, loose, and extremely messy insulation and plenty of dust (plus the fact that he was allergic to our cats). Yet Jason never wavered or complained, but worked steadily and efficiently in getting the job done. After installing the fan, he proceeded to replace a 40 year old light fixture with a new one. Then he put in a new GFCI outlet and replaced some switches. We were very impressed with his work and he did an exceptional job.   • “On August 22, 2018 , after notifying Dominion Energy that I again had a Quest water pipe break, I contacted American Mechanical office seeking scheduled repair service from a company I definitely trust in terms of quality workmanship and actual caring about its customers. I was out of town to attend a granddaughter’s wedding when the leak was discovered, but did arrange for the water to be turned off, and an appointment for August 24 to meet with one of your skilled plumbers. A repair appointment was arranged for the upcoming Monday and two diligent, determined Company employees arrived to tackle what turned out to be a treacherous task (Dylan and Kelvin I believe…it has been awhile and the reason this letter is in such arears has to do with two unexpected family deaths that occurred during this time frame). The task was quite a challenge and a host of other employees turned out to assist…it was almost virtual brotherhood! Joel (I believe) headed up the job and was a fine leader! Honestly, I have yet to see such perseverance in August’s boiling temperatures! As I expected, the job was efficiently and expeditiously completed. I had called American Mechanical after a failed attempt by my Home Warranty company to correct a sewage drainage/back up issue. I was pretty upset at this point especially with the service I had just received from another company. The woman I spoke with on the phone was friendly, patient and helpful! We had just moved into this house and sewage is definitely not what you want to deal with right from the start. The home warranty company sent someone out who said I had a collapsed line and that there was nothing they could do. My call to American was early evening on a Friday and I was expecting to not get an appointment until Monday. They sent Phil over within the hour. He was very friendly, walked me through the yard helping me find the clean-outs and main cut offs.
